Celebrate Culture Night with an unforgettable evening of contemporary circus, fire, live music and spectacle at Motion Chapel.
The night begins outdoors with Ephemera, a stunning spectacle production by VolkiDána. Combining giant puppetry, aerial acrobatics, dance, fire performance and immersive procession, Ephemera tells the story of an ancient deity awakened for one final journey across the earth. Rich in mythology, striking visuals and contemporary circus, this is a powerful experience for audiences of all ages.
The evening also features special guest performances from Cikada Circus.
From 11.00pm until late, the celebrations continue inside the chapel with a high-energy live set from Death Milkshake, whose unique blend of disco, punk, alt-rock and live looping promises the perfect end to Culture Night.
Come hungry, MK Bía will be serving delicious burgers, pizzas and loaded fries throughout the evening, while Brewpoint Coffee will be keeping everyone warm with a selection of hot drinks.
Hosted by Motion Chapel, a new arts organisation dedicated to contemporary circus in County Roscommon, this event offers a chance to experience ambitious new work in the unique setting of a restored monastery that is becoming a home for circus creation, training and performance in rural Ireland.
